Painter, working tattooist and co-owner of Fortune Teller Tattoo in Portland, Maine. His work as a tattoo artist is illustrative with a focus on bold linework and high contrast in both color and black and grey, taking inspiration from traditional americana and japanese tattoo art as well as sequential art and fine art illustration. Alex started tattooing over 10 years ago and worked for shops in Vermont, New Jersey and New York before moving to Maine to open Fortune Teller.
Alex received a BFA in illustration and sequential art from the Savannah College of Art and Design, then proceeded to work as a freelance illustrator and comic artist for a short time before beginning his tattoo apprenticeship.
